  • What do I need to know about visiting the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC)?

  • How do I find out about public transport?

    Visit the Translink website for all public transport information. The closest transport stations to the BCEC are:

    Bus: Cultural Centre Train: South Brisbane Ferry: Southbank

  • What do I need to bring with me for workshops and the Forum?

    We recommend that you bring:

    ∙ Water bottle
    ∙ Mask
    ∙ Any workshop requirements as emailed by workshop presenters to participants
    ∙ Curiosity and willingness to participate

  • What accessibility options are available at BCEC?

  • Who are the traditional owners of the land on which the BCEC stands?

    The Turrbal and Yuggera people.

  • What time does registration open?

    You will be able to collect your lanyard at the reception desk located in the Boulevard Foyer during the Exhibition Opening and Welcome Reception on 22 August, Monday 4:00pm-6:00pm and any time from 8:00am onwards Tuesday - Friday.

  • New List What do I do if I can no longer attend a workshop or the Forum?

    Email secretariat@earthobsforum.org to let us know.

  • Will there be wifi on site?

    Yes. The BCEC has free wifi with speeds adequate for browsing. High speed internet has been arranged for those workshops requiring it.

  • Will there be a cloak room?

    Suitcases, coats, etc. can be stored by the registration desk. While all care will be taken with your belongings AEO does not accept responsibility for loss or damage of stored items.

  • What is the community notice board at the Forum?

    Are you looking for someone to join your team; have a piece of hardware to sell, seeking a collaboration partner or have another message you are wanting to share with Forum participants? You are encouraged to use the Forum Community Notice Board in the Boulevard Foyer. Notices can be pinned to the board throughout the week.

  • What is the dress code?

    Smart casual or business casual.

How do I download the Forum app?

The Forum app provides you with access to the full program, speaker bios, updates and participant details.  It allows you to create your own program of ‘must see’ presentations, provide feedback and includes many other features.
