The 2026 Advancing Earth Observation Forum will be held in Nipaluna/Hobart, Lutriwita/Tasmania

9-12 November

Growing Australia’s Earth Observation Capabilities!

Our Earth observation community is a diverse range of people from industry, government, research, defense, not-for-profits, and educational institutions. Together, we collect and process data from a variety of platforms to create knowledge and deliver relevant information for a vast number of applications. By connecting and collaborating, we build understanding and wisdom about the Earth’s environments and communities and how they change over time.

The Advancing Earth Observation Forum brings together people from across Australia and beyond, to share, learn, connect and collaborate.

We acknowledge the first nations people as the original observers of our Earth across all of Australia, and pay our respects to the traditional owners of Nipaluna/Hobart, the Muwinina people, none of whom survived colonisation.

For the Muwinina people, the area around Nipaluna was their Country and they called Mount Wellington Kunanyi and the Derwent River Timtumili Minanya. I acknowledge that it is a privilege to stand on Country and walk in the footsteps of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community.
