Travel Grants on OFFER!!!

EOA is pleased to offer Travel Grants to support equitable participation in the AEO Forum.

The Travel Grant Program is designed to reduce financial and structural barriers to attendance, with a focus on:

  • Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Forum.

  • Supporting students and early-career professionals to attend.

  • Enabling attendance from underrepresented communities, such as Indigenous communities, residents of remote communities, and women and minority genders.

  • Encouraging knowledge exchange that delivers broader community and sector benefit.

Eligibility includes the above focus points as well as the below:

  • the ability to front the direct costs of your travel to Advancing Earth Observation Forum (grants are reimbursements, see below).

  • be in possession of, or meet the requirements and be expected to be in possession of, a valid entry visa to Australia and immunisation documents (if required).

  • A completed application form

What does the grant cover?

Grants cover conference registration (including a dinner ticket) and travel support of up to AUD $1,500 per recipient, awarded at one of three tiers ($500, $1,000, or $1,500).

Grants are intended as partial support — applicants in receipt of other funding sources are still eligible to apply.

Assessment

Applications are assessed by the AEO Forum Local Organising Committee.

Successful applicants will be notified progressively while there is budget. Grant funding will be provided to the successful applicant upon confirmed attendance at the registration desk.
